NIHBS - Native Irish Honey Bee Society

We are proud members of NIHBS, and only use native irish honey bees for our apiaries. These are the only honey bees native to ireland , and have evolved here for nearly 8000 years. With this time they have evolved with other pollonators in ireland and maintained the status quo.

Welcome to the Native Irish Honey Bee Society (NIHBS), where we are dedicated to the conservation and protection of the native  Irish honey bee - Apis malifera malifera. Our mission is to stop the hybridization of this unique species and support its work in conservation.
